Today was a good day

I had a terrible day at work today. I went to the gym afterwards to blow off some steam and I was thinking about the huge rant I was going to write when I got home. I was also, as usual, listening on my Inno to the parts of Ron & Fez that I missed this afternoon.

Imagine my surprise when they mentioned my blog on the air! By name and by address. It was pretty crazy. Ronnie mentioned that I posted again wondering if it was my blog that they referred to on the show yesterday. He said that his chick has google alerts on his name and he knows what we're all up to out here. They wondered if Leo is my name or my sign (it's both, actually). Then Fez pointed out how unnecessarily long the name of my blog is. He has a point.

I just calmly listened to them talk and afterwards I thought, did that really just happen? It was surreal, and extremely cool, to hear my favorite radio show refer to me on the air. So if someone from the show happens to see this post...thanks for the mention buddays, it made my day!

As I sit here eating another of the Ronnie B cupcakes I brought back from Molly's last weekend (only one more left), I'm thinking that it might finally be time to take a trip up to NYC one day soon and check out the show live. Everyone says that they like having listeners stop by and that they treat everyone really well. I've been thinking about doing it for a while now and I have no idea what I've been waiting for, really. It's not like it's a long trip from Philly to NYC. Now I finally feel inspired to get off my lethargic ass and make the trip.

I wonder what kind of delicious food the boys would want from Philly. Maybe some hoagies? Some more scrapple? I would bring some cheesesteaks from Jim's, but they would be pretty disgusting by the time they got to New York. Maybe just some nice cigars. I guess as long as I don't bring macaroni art, I'll be fine.
